Alex makes his debut in British GT GT4 Oulton Park

Going into Round 1 of the British GT championship confidence was in the air after a successful few days testing and good relationships built with my new team Academy Motorsport and team mate Will Moore

After the highlight of being the fastest GT4 car in the first free practice and nailing our pit stop practice during the second, we pressed on looking for a solid start to the championship!

I started Race 1 in 8th with Will taking over at halfway point, they did a good job to finish with what felt like a carnage filled race and a few on track excursions avoiding other people’s accidents! Finishing 10th.

Unfortunately in Race 2 with Will starting we didn’t make it to the pit stops after contact forced Will out of the race! Nothing he could do and he was driving a stellar race up to that point!

But … this is racing and my team Academy Motorsport never missed a beat all weekend!

We will be back and stronger than ever at Round 2 – Snetterton!!!

It was great to see so many fans packing the circuit as well as my amazing sponsors Tailored Services, AS Advisors and Lodestone Projects who came along to show their support!! As well as all my family and friends.

With a little more luck and a more equal Balance of Performance, I think some silverware for us is not too far away!
