Another tough one under the belt after Round 2 at Snetterton but a learning curve as always!
Heading into the race weekend with Round 1 under our belt I was feeling more relaxed and confident of the weekend ahead with promising pace in testing showing hints of a positive weekend!
Unfortunately losing my fastest lap in qualifying due to a track limits infringement and not getting the chance to have another run left a bitter taste in the mouth as to what could have been but I’ve shown before that I can come from the back so spirits were still high as the race pace was one of mine and my team mates strengths!
But after a positive start and making progress through the field contact with another car meant we had to retire early with damage. Gutted but I knew we could redeem a positive result in race 2.
In race 2 Will ran a solid stint after an early excursion and made ground before the driver change. My job was simply to show good pace finish the race and pick off any cars in my path, which we achieved!
Not the most ideal weekend and another tough result for the team but we came away with a lot of positives and more knowledge of the car!
Onwards to the longest race of the year! 3 hours around Silverstone!!
Hopefully it will be 3rd time lucky to show for all the boys at Academy Motorsports hard work!
We will get there its only a matter of time!
Thank you as always to my sponsors Tailored Services & AS Advisors for your support I couldn’t do this without you!
